A beautiful 1963 Stevens wood deck in to have her cavitation plate system rebuilt.
Here is what we started with...
Fit the stainless steel pillow block trim plate, lined up holes...
set up the pillow blocks on the control shaft, lined up the control arms with the holes in the plates. The Stevens transom has a radius so we needed to shim the pillow block trim plate.
wood and epoxy baby....thoroughly saturate and get flat so the control shaft doesn't bind...
All lined up, wet sanded, polished and functional... |
